Sommelier | Sommelier Certification | What is a Sommelier

Ok so you want to know what is a sommelier? It’s a wine expert to put it simply. These are those fancy ass elitist types that make or break a wine. They are the ones who influence what wines make it to the restaurants and which ones dont. A sommelier is more than a wine waiter. These sommeliers are experts in all aspects of wine. They know how to smell it, how to taste it, how to look at it and how to recommend or not recommend it and why.

Can you get sommelier certification? I’m not sure and I wont be looking it up to find out. For some reason I resent sommeliers even though I just learned the word tonight. They strike me as snobby people. Just by the sounds of what they do.

THe sommelier is expert enough to judge the wines from the top restaurants in new york and the international wine contest this year. So these guys are the tops. They remind me of art collectors, you know, the rich snotty type.

Sommelier certification…LMAO!!
