GM Buyout


People are pissed off about the gm buyout. It’s not as good as last year, when GM offered a $70,000 buyout package. It’s lower than Chrysler’s buyout (currently $50,000 in cash and a $25,000 voucher.) Cars aren’t the same as money.Right now cars are losing value. When you drive a new car off the lot it immediately depreciates like crazy. So lots of gm workers are a bit insulted by this cheap offer. But then again, nobody wants the kind of cars American companies are producing anymore. We want cars that run greener and have a sweeter price tag. With gm paying their workers a thousand dollars an hour to “sweep up” it’s no wonder the price of american made cars is through the roof. Screw these automobile giants. Let them fail.
