Bank America has decided to wait on some bonus payments from 2008 if they are more than 50,000 dollars. So that means that employees who were looking forward to a nice bonus this month are going to have to wait. Actually the bonuses are going to be dealt out over three annual payments but that wont total all of the money owed. A small fraction of the bonus money will be paid in quarterly payments through out 2009. Bank of America is based out of North Carolina. Bank of america has declined to comment on any of this as it’s against their policy to do so. This bonus deferrment is somewhat historic. Companies are taking advantage of tough times to exploit their employees knowing full well that most employees are happy to just have a job right now. Scary times folks isn’t it?
