George Bush Will Have A Wonderful Legacy!!

Hi folks, it’s the Crappy Blogger here and I just want to share my two cents about George Bush. George Bush is having his final days in office as President of the United States of America. He is concerned about his legacy it seems. He’s wondering how he will be viewed in posterity. Will he be seen as a good president or a bad president? Lots of people think he will go down as one of the worst presidents of all time.

It seems to me that there are a certain significant group who often get a little over emotional when talking about George Bush. I mean, some people get worked up just as a football fanatic can get worked up watching the game, yelling at the tv and arguing with his friends at work about it. Some people just LOVE to get worked up over George W Bush. Dubbya he’s called by some of his detractors. It seems to me that the media have been exceptionally harsh to George Bush but then again America is a fickle country.

I think George Bush is going to go down as one of the best presidents we’ve had! Surprised? Ever since the 2000 election democrats and in particular the new neo-liberals have done all they could to cock block everything Bush tried to do, whether it was good for the country or not had nothing to do with the said cock blocking. Democrats in congress absolutely stonewalled Bush to death whether it was good for the country or not. That’s the whole of the problems of the Bush years. Bush could have done so much more if congress had not cock blocked everything he tried to do.

Yes it was a republican congress for 6 years but the minority can still stonewall and impede legislation. Case in point is in 2003 when Bush proposed an amendment that would reign in Freddie and Fanny. Not only was that insightful of Bush and could have saved us from the current fiscal meltdown (it could have) but it was politically courageous of him to propose measures that would make market regulations more strict, which is traditionally not a very conservative thing to do.

Of course Barney Frank who used to bang one of the guys from Freddie up the fanny (LMAO!!) said that Bush is looking for financial trouble where there is none and that F&F were a fundamentally sound institution. Yes, Bush just wanted to make it harder for the poor to buy a house. Perhaps Bush figured that it was largely a black demographic and he simply wanted to keep the coloreds down. After all, Bush is a cowboy from Texas and he doesn’t give a shit about black people. Just look at all the blacks that Bush made suffer (on purpose) in new orleans after katrina.

So Bush saw the coming financial meltdown and was cock-blocked by the liberals in congress. See, they understood that if Bush were allowed to succeed at all in any way, then…well it’s just unthinkable. Bush STOLE the election!! He had to be stopped.

Then the Iraq war. The USA takes on a third world nation. I love it, first all the democrats vote for the war based on the same information that W was looking at, then they blame bush for the war. Bush lied etc…fucking ridiculous!! “I voted for the war before I voted against it…” the infamous quote from John Kerry pretty much typifies the rhetoric of all the liberals in congress at the time. The voted for the war before they realized that they could use the war AGAINST bush in daily media combat.

“The war CAN’T be won!!!! IT’s IMPOSSIBLE!!!” Such were the cries from every single liberal in congress trying to get the nation all worked up over just how BAD of a president Bush was. We won the war a year later. No shit we were going to win the war, we are THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!! The strongest nation the world has ever known, of course the war was winnable. Was there ever really any doubt? Gimme a break….

So Bush brought freedom to 55 million people across Afghanistan and Iraq. 55 million people now have freedom. Woman can go out in public with out those stupid musilim full body garmet things. Burka? Burqa? I don’t know how to spell it and don’t care either but now girls can go to school in these countries. These girls will grow up educated and educate their sons. They will enjoy civil rights which all human kind should enjoy. Two nations in the middle east now have freedom. In the long term is that better for the USA or not? Would it be better if those two coutries were still ruled by islamic fascists and tyrannical dictators?

The selfish view is that for the USA it’s better to have two transformed countries in the middle east that have freedom. That’s better than islamic fascist governments and dictatorships with oppressive rule. The non selfish view is that 55 million people in the world now enjoy more natural rights and because of us, the quality of their lives will improve as they enjoy their freedoms. I’m sure woman with rights are more happy then woman with no rights.

The middle east is the future of the world. What happens next largely depends on what happens in the middle east. With nuclear arms getting out of control we can only look forward in horror at the thought that some day soon, nuclear arms will be in the hands of suicidal islamic extremists. The constant jockeying for position by Russia and the US and to a lesser degree France, China, Iran and Venuzuela shows that there is even more simmering behind the middle east problems. Each major country like Russia and the US want their influence to be more weighty so each side gets behind an issue and demonstrates its influence and power.

If things get out of hand and the USA backs Israel in the event that Israel and Iran go at it, and Russia backs Iran the whole things can get crazy. We need freedom in the middle east to culturally combat the communism of Russia and China and to combat the islamic extremism that is the cancer of today’s world. George Bush brought freedom to oppressed peoples. That makes him a hero by default.

Whenever history looks back on who freed who, the ones doing the freeing are looked upon favorably. The war, the ugliness, the drama, the emotions all fade away over time and all that is left are the results. The result from the Bush years will be freedom to people who weren’t free in two different nations.

Obama, well I bet he’ll mess the whole thing up pretty good. He reminds me of Jimmy Carter for some reason. Hopefully he’ll be the best president ever but I doubt it. I think Obama is soft on terror but I guess we will just have to wait and see. One thing Obama should be happy about is that he didn’t inherit an out of control Iraq war. Bush made tough and unpopular decisions and that takes balls.

Bush kept us safe after 911 despite numerous attempts by terrorists to cause us more harm. Bush tried to reign in Freddie and Fanny before it was too late. Bush brought freedom to two different counties for the good of the USA and of those two countries and their people. Fantastic president that unfortunately was cock blocked to death over partisan pettiness for eight years. Al queda’s best ally was in the US congress in the form of liberal democrats.

Hat’s off to George W Bush!
