Jambalaya | Jambalaia Ponta Grossa
I love Jambalaya! My son wants to be a cook when he grows up and we were talking about jambalaya the other day. I tried to explain to him what it is. I said that Jambalaya is a southern dish mainly from louisiana and in particular new orleans. Jambalaya is usually kind of spicy and that’s one of the things I love. It’s kind of like gumbo but that doesn’t help you understand what jambalaya is if you don’t know what gumbo is. They put stuff like sausage, shrimp and even crayfish in there. It’s got a tomato sauce base and there are peppers, onions and mushrooms if you want. Jambalaya is some seriously good stuff and it’s one of my favorite southern dishes. I’m not a big fan of crayfish though so I opt for sausage, shrimp and or chicken. If you have never tried Jambalaya I highly recommend it!
