Brad Cohen | Tourettes Syndrome | Front of the Class | Turrets

Brad Cohen is a teacher that became famous despite his challenge with tourettes syndrome. People with tourettes syndrome blurt out things that they would rather not but they can’t help it. Brad Cohen is played by Jimmy Wolk in Front of the Class. The movie Front of the Class is based on a book of the same name written by Brad Cohen. It explains how tourettes syndrome made him the teacher he never had and with out suffering tourettes he may not have found that perspective needed to be the great teacher he turned out to be. By the way tourettes is not spelled turrets like I thought it was:)

Brad Cohen’s story is one of inspiration and hope and I just love these themes! Call me corny if you want but I think the world could use a bit of hope here and there. It seems like inspiration is lacking and hope is lacking but when you see how someone like Brad Cohen can battle with tourrettes syndrome and end up at the Front of the Class it’s uplifting and I’m sure it’ll be a great movie.
